2.25" --> 2.50" Piping, what to expect?

What should I expect cleaning up the piping underneath from the stock 2.25" to 2.5" from the Hpipe to the mufflers?

Will the tone change, more volume, more performance? I'm hoping there is someone who did just this for a exhaust mod at one point and can chime in here. I'm looking for some left over stock SS pipes but havnt had any luck yet. I got my fingers crossed a forum member will come through with the goods.

Also, on the MRT1 mufflers, should I increase the pipe output size to 3"?

If you're running stock mufflers you won't hear a huge change.

+1. I've given some V6 owners some leftover SS Catbacks. The tips are larger so that's cool and all. Doesn't sound a heck of a lot different but there's a little bit of a deeper tone.

Good luck!
