What in the heck is this reading!?
Installed my Injen CAI today and everything thing sounds good.. No hissing or leaks. Unplugged my battery before installation..and when I hooked it back up and started her up I noticed I was getting a "CAL" reading in the bottom right corner center computer read out .. Or what ever you call the damned thing.
Anyone have any idea what this means!?

I think it means the compass is recalibrating, it should go away after a while.

I had that happen to me once for a while, wondered what the heck it was, then it went away. I figured out it was the compass calibrating.
I think it is coincidence that you got that after installing the intake.

Its the compass, like others have said.
They lose calibration when the car sits (in my case) in my garage for a while. Unlike other cars you don't have to drive in circles to get it to come back, usually only takes a few seconds.

I am figuring it might have done this cause i disconnected the neg cable on the battery before I installed the CAI. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't getting a bad reading because of my CAI install... To assume makes me an "ass", so I didn't want to assume
Anything.

I'm STILL waiting on them, since your UPS incident... =D Show me ur switches too! and as much wiring as you can, i want to learn =D lol

Sure thing! I opted for the Key FOB remote with 4 channel receiver box. It took awhile to figure out where to run a hot and ground from the fuse box, but I figured it out. The next pain was finding a relatively cool spot in the engine bay for mounting. The best spot so far seems to be near the fire wall at the rear of te engine bay..instead of drilling (which I want to completely avoid if possible) I decided to use MAX stick 3M tape (I'll post pics of were I will mount it). Extra wire had to be used to track the wires from the halo and fuse box around the rear of the bay to keep everything clean. I've been a VERY busy (and dirty) girl today!
