Lightbulb ZL1 cats vs SS (LS3/L99)

Hi All,
Sorry if this has been already asked, I could not find any ultimate answer.

Apparently I discovered that I got ZL1 exhaust installed on my SS. I see it's slightly different from L99/LS3 engine (but fits well) so I am curious if these platforms share the same cats system or ZL1 differs by, let's say flow capability.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I personally think it would be logical if zl cats had a better flow but I am not quite confident about that.

Tks

Their totally different P/Ns so there's some kind of different and when you say it's different what part is different?? Is it dual mode if so you could have got a complete cat back setup...

I believe they are the exact same cats. I've read that here many times. Give one of the sponsored shops on this site a call and they will confirm 100% for you. But I am fairly certain the cats are the same.

Mid-pipes and cats look alike to me, that's why I am confused. I've been told it's zl1 exhaust with muffler delete and I am positive it is. Just want to know what the differences between cats/manifolds are.

Thank you

Yep. That's what I thought. And it's good that you took the time to come back on here and confirm this once you found out. So many threads go unanswered and just get dropped. Closing these out with a final confirmation helps when people are searching.
