Have you shipped seats?

Curious if anyone has any experience with shipping seats? I need to get a quote and not really sure who to call or what a fair price is for this type of service. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have through a local freight forwarding company. I used a company called Central Freight. All I did was take the seats there and paid (About $250). They put them on a pallet and shrink wrapped it. This was back in 2007 though... I'm pretty sure you might be able to go to UPS or FedEx and they may have the support to do the same.

I have shipped seats before on UShip.com it will get you quotes that you can choose from. Two ZL1 seats are about $250-300 bucks through freight. UPS and FEDEX is a rip off as I tried and they quoted me $2,000.00 for the same two seats. Good luck!

Throw them on a pallet, secure and pad the seats well. Then call your local dealership and ask who they use to ship larger items, and if they'll ship stuff for you if you already have it packaged up. Depending on where we're going, we usually use US Special delivery.
