Went into Boardwalk 2 days ago. They said 2011 2LT's had a $1500 price increase. I told him I didn't think so, he kept saying they did. Needless to say, unless that is true I will not be buying from boardwalk.

I was at Anderson Friday as I have a defective front windshield. The service staff knows my car well as it was an early problem child (loose ground on injectors). Talking with the SM, they do make mods for clients, and had completed a supercharger on a ZO6. I had always thought John Anderson was opposed to modified vehicles but they informed me he just refused to sell new cars with mods all ready installed. I would consider both Courtesy & Fremont for service or a new purchase, but not BW. IMHO

This is semi true. 2LT's and 2SS models went up by $350 I believe. Due to the HUD. BUt hardly $1,500

I knew they went up because of HUD's but I didn't believe the $1,500. When buying a $25,000+ vehicle $350 doesn't really worry me.

How about service? I am contemplating whether to have my oil change from a dealer or somewhere else. Any advice is very much appreciated.

I've been very happy with the service at boardwalk chevrolet, but I get my oil changed at a local shop as they are less expensive.

I also had issues at Courtesy Chevrolet. The salesman (Andy) was very rude and refused to let me even test drive a Camaro. He said he was too busy and would only help me if I wanted to buy one. After saying this he just went on chatting with the other salesman. I talked to the Manager about this and he tells me that Andy is one of their best salesman and he can't do anything lol

Needless to say I took my order elsewhere. Capitol Chevrolet in San Jose has been awesome. I have ordered a 2012 Camaro through the Fleet Manager, Keith. He has been very helpful in answering all my questions and is giving me a good deal too

Anybody that has mods and are worried about a dealer voiding your warranty. Because you have LT's/Tune and want to get a rear main seal leak fixed,A/C etc. PM me and I will hook you up with the right people. If you have a blower and leaned it out and melted some pistons you are probably on your own lol. Or just want a competent Tech to work/service your Camaro.

I'm retracting my original post about Courtesy. In the last year they've pulled their head out of their ads in service and have installed mode to my car with no affect on my warranty. D-nash, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. New owner rolls in in 2 weeks. Stay tuned ...

Positive experience for me at Courtesy San Jose so far in terms of service. They've pretty much resolved all of the issues I've had. Service staff has been pleasant and you always get a free rental car.

This week my rear diff was groaning. They were pretty creative in terms of resolving the issue. They threw Corvette diff fluid/additive in when the Camaro diff fluid/additive didn't improve the situation. The noise is significantly reduced. They fixed my exhaust rattle and an oil leak I had with no further issues. The best thing was that they didn't bug me about the Pedders suspension parts I had on the car and didn't blame them for any of the noises. They seem to be reasonable about servicing modded cars - at least in my 1 experience.

I actually purchased my car from Putnam when the 2010s were tough to come by. I had a very positive experience with Ed there - although the great deal I managed to get there was primarily thru the sales managers. I found Ed to be one of the nicest salesmen I've ever worked with when buying a car (and I'm in the high teens in terms of car purchases in my life). Not sure what happened in the situation mentioned early on in this thread.

When going to Courtesy to look at cars to purchase, they've in general totally ignored me and wouldn't let me test drive anything. And I'm not a little kid either. I had a significantly better experience at Putnam than I ever had at Courtesy when looking for a car.

I am one of the sales managers at F.H. Dailey. Glad to see the only discussion about our store here is good. Sad to see so little conversation about the store though.

I was not able to find a single dealer in the Bay Area that is willing to sell the ZL1 at MSRP. I ended up having to locate an out of state dealer that sells all their vehicles at MSRP or below, and will have the ZL1 drop shipped to the Bay Area.
