$816 billion stimulus questions

First off, I guess I don't understand the point of a stimulus, but how does putting our country more in debt help our economy? The last stimulus given by the Bush clan didn't seem to help much.

Second, are we actually supposed to be getting money in hand from this or is this only for businesses?

The government should not just hand out money and expect everyone to do the right thing with it. There should be some sort of guidelines to follow that will actually help get things back in order.

If I get anything over $1,000 from this it's going into my Camaro down payment...but is that the "right" thing to do?

You wont get money for a camaro out of this stim package. The only thing you'll get is someone jacking your Camaro, Challanger, Charger, Chevelle, Nova, Impala, Truck, Car, SUV, Bike out of your driveway for that damned Cash for Clunkers thing..

I swear to god I want to go to town in the Senate chamber like the ending to Scarface. I sooo need to just beat the everliving crap out of a politician right now.
