My journey will begin soon, thats once my car gets delivered.

They are a 12 mm 1.5 pitch thread 12.9 grade X 65 mm... Not a readily available bolt for sure... We tried Fastenall and another local vendor... to no avail... We could get them but would have to but a box of 50, and it could take a couple of weeks to get them... and we only need 12 of them... My vendor should be able to get them to us by Thursday.... I Love supportive vendors... you know, the ones that stand behind their product and take care of little issues and big ones... This is obviously a little one, and easily resolved....

Not a problem... Tomorrow we will start working on the plumbing for the new turbos, build the catch can for the diff and see where we go from there....We still have to pull of the cold side housing and cut and trim it... then weld the new elbow on and get it ready for clocking it in the new direction we determine to be the best...

We ought to have it together some time next week....

Glen, your diff is waiting for you if you're ready for it...

Nothing super exciting in this post, but I finished the modification to the drive shaft loop... With the size of the new coupling at the transmission, the original loop wasn't long enough and would have been unsafe if the output shaft or the coupler broke....

So, I took on the task of extending it to a longer length... We determined that we needed to add four inches of length to ensure the main shaft was encompassed within the loop so that no matter where along the coupler it broke, the shaft would not fall to the ground... Also, this is my first attempt ever at Tig welding... I've done lots of stick and Mig welding...

I added four inches of length (two 2" pieces) and fabricated and shaped the gussets along the sides... I had to stop and reshape the tip on the welder several times due to contaminating it, but overall, I'm pretty happy with the end result.... Corey was fitting and installing the new Turbo's while I was working on this... We may be able to get Brandi on the road Wednesday or Thursday.... Time will tell...

Let my camera at the shop today, so no additional pics, but....

We are just about finished with installing the new turbo's. We had to machine the oil return block to fit over the bolts that lock in the cold side housing.

I spent most of today fabricating the mounts for and installing the new oil cooler. Thursday, I have to build a shroud for it.

The diff, axles and drive shaft are completely installed.

Corey has been working hard on the intake piping for the new turbo's. Since the inlets are bigger, Corey ordered new silicone couplers and we have had to alter some of the piping. We are closing in on the finished product for this stage of the build...

We still have to mount the AMS 1000 Boost Controller and the shift light... But, for now we will mount the hardware for it and let Allan, the electronics dude take care of wiring it in....

Hopefully, by Friday latest, I'll be able to begin breaking in the diff... maybe by Thursday... but I would rather take time and make sure it's all correct first....

I'm headed to Houston for a meeting tomorrow that will determine the next stages for Brandi...

Great Meeting... Big plans...
Good Meeting... finish the cage and get some racing wheels and carry on...
Bad meeting... well.... Well finish what we are working on and I'll have a damn fast street car...

Actually, I am not worried about it... and I am looking forward to having dinner with two great friends if Mike (I hope so) joins Russ and I... Russ told me it's his favorite Steak House.. so, I'm looking forward to it...
