Door chime and turn signals are loud.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I just installed some Alpine amps in the back of my 2010 ss2 and now the door chime and the turn signals are very loud. I have the gain all the way down on the sri and still have the problem. Running the Alpines out of the factory amp. I have this running the sub Alpine PDX-1.1000 sub

Loud door chime

You may have to replace the AMP with one that has separate high / low input controls. I have a JL HD 900 amp and had the same problem. The HD 900 has input gain controls, that solved the problem.

its because the factory amp is basically being double-amplified. heres how I solved it in my install. Run the output of the drivers front speaker from the factory amp to the center channel. Then run the pass front speaker output from the factory amp to BOTH channels on the line converter, and then to your amp. The chime only comes from the drivers door, and running it to the center channel being powered off the factory BA amp keeps it stock volume. Dont forget a bass blocker cap in the center, it will blow fairly easily. Otherwise, like Go Fast Kit stated, you just have to turn the gain down.
