So, I wonder if any aftermarket sources will be making a carbon fiber hood that may have a functional scoop or a reasonable facsimile of one. would be able to shed some weight if someone did that.

well on the v8 SS the mail slot is past the hood so idk how much it would cost to get replaced?

and what is it called the bumber

the hood but not the part that can open :(

True that, hopefully some enterprising aftermarket company will figure out a way, still hoping that some company will figure out how to make a reasonable facsimile of the 69 Z28's hidden headlights.

Header panel. I believe it's all one piece tho with the bumper cover.

Nickey Chevrolet has a drawing of the 5th gen with an old 67 Corvette Stingray hood on it, looks great!

the GFX really looks good on the v6, its starting to grow on mee, but there is no way in hell that i would pay the price theyre asking for, especially just for grey. I could get a bodykit for that price, i think some aftermarket company will have that for really cheap, i actually really like the photoshop hood, i would put that on my car if it was real.

I'm starting to really like the body kit GM is offering...but it's so, so expensive!!

The price of that plus paint...WOW!

I like the look you are getting from these chops though...keep up the good work!
