Injen CAI longtube install

Can someone please verify that the Injen can be installed without removing the wheel or jacking up the car? I've seen threads where people say the wheel has to come off, and I've seen others that say it can be done without all that trouble. Thanks

Never tried without jacking the front drivers side. I've installed 2 injens without taking the tire off. Just turn it for ease.

Edit: just reread what I wrote, and it might sound confusing. Lol. I jacked the drivers side front and never took the tire off.

The tire can stay on, but it is easier to to just take the tire off and create all the room you need to work without any hassle.

Installed mine by turning the wheel all the way to the left. It was a pain working through the gap but it can be done.

Agreed, probably easier with the wheel off, but I installed with car on the ground and just turned the wheel.

Interesting. I had no issues and plenty of room to work. And I'm a fairly large guy.

Its the easiest if you can use a lift.. the instructions are great but if you can put the car up on a lift and turn the tire all the way then its really not hard at all. Make sure your new wiper fluid bottle cap swiches over.. people have had problems with it

I took the wheel off to see what I was doing as it was in the garage at night and needed to get light up there also. Easy.

I installed mine without jacking up the car or removing wheel. It was tight at times but with a little patience it can be done!

All the way to the left, so the front of the driver's side wheel was pointing out away from the car? Just asking 'cause I thought I read about someone turning it to the right.

I think that's what he meant. I did mine with wheel on; turned all the way to the RIGHT

I turned the wheel to the right to help get to the screws/plastic rivets that hold up the wheel well liners. I think I turned it left to get one of the plastic rivets that is kind of behind the wheel. And I know the wheel was to the left to get under the car to put the filter on the intake tube.
