I think you can now order a Camaro under the program.

U.S. allows clunker rebates on factory orders after complaints
The U.S. government has agreed to allow dealers to submit cash-for-clunkers transactions for vehicles ordered from factories instead of just those purchased at a dealership. That decision came today from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in response to dealers' complaints about dwindling inventory on lots. 5:54 pm U.S. ET | Aug. 13

SS does not qualify... car you're purchasing has to have a combined MPG of 22......the SS comes in at 21 per my salesman that tried to work a deal for another customer.

There are already tons of these threads on this forum. The only one that applies is the V6 Automatic.
