Was it just a power issue u didnt like? Instead of taking the $ loss, why not invest it in your engine or an engine swap? You may even been able to find a L99 or LS3 from a wrecked car.

Some people have unrealistic expectations on this car. These performance guys who used to own a vette thinking a V6 is going to make them happy are kidding themselves. I also would like to add i would have waited till a tune came out like others have said torque management can be removed to give it that kick some people want from there V6. Myself i test drove the V6 i know what im getting in to so will be no surprise for me if that's what i choose. Good luck with the SS hope it works out for you.

To sum up the previous responses...

Dont worry about the $3k hit I took from the V6, thats nothing to me. I dont own a Vette because I am a big guy and driving one more than 10 minutes is a pain. I have no loyalties to any brand, I am not a fanboy. I just happen to want a new Camaro right now.

Well the two things I hated most were the lack of power and the handling. Obviously the V8 will take care of the power and I was not aware that the SS has a better suspension which will improve the handling. I can get past the weight issues.

Calling some Avis locations in the morning. I was told they offer mini lease programs. Basically you rent the car on a 90 day basis and can keep doing that. Might be easier to get one that way than thru a dealer thats going to mark it up, if they even have them. I will get details tomorrow.
Are you serious???

You are fine with taking a $3k hit on selling back your V6 and then you want to go and throw away even more money on a car for 3 months which you wouldn't get back anyway??

Dude...go TEST DRIVE an SS and see if you like it so you don't WASTE any more money!

Nice so many people are worrying about my financial situation. Dont want to brag or anything but I make and have more than enough money, believe me. Its really not an issue. Just because I have money doesnt mean I am going to pay thousands over MSRP, that just pisses me off. Would be simple if I could find a dealer selling an SS for sticker and I could buy it and be done with it but these dealers are crooks. I do believe you have an option to buy the car from Avis on that program, have to check it out.

Go get that Orange SS someone mentioned and get Lingenfelter (sp?) to upgrade you to 670 hp.

If you got the cash, fly to NC. I'll let you smoke the tires for a day, she's my baby... but my baby is a whore.

A test drive doesnt do this car justice. You have to drive one that's broke in.

Why did you buy a v-6 in the first place then?

Just fly into MN and drive one home. There are plenty around here for MSRP.
