Cant wait to Roll out! see everybody in less then 14 hours!

Talked to the Sgt. from AZ DPS and he was going to do this as a courtesy but since he didn't call me back I called the Yuma Office (Yuma Office found him somehow). Well, now they want to charge us $$$$$$ to run a simple traffic break.. BS!! I'll check with the Quartzsite Chief and see if he can help us out otherwise we'll need to backtrack about 8 miles and drive the speed limit (thus creating a traffic break)...

I don't drive on the highway up there much, but have passed over it on my way from Yuma to Parker/Havasu/Vegas.. I don't recall ever seeing too much traffic on the highway itself. I'm sure we'll be able to get back on pretty good.. Might get some care in between us, but i don't think you can avoid that with 90+ driving down the road...

Curious to how much they wanted to charge us, gues our state isn't the only one suffering.

What other fires are you working on?

Talked to the CHP Sgt. and they want us to leave the casino and go east along the frontage road (Seminole Dr.) to Main St. to re-enter the freeway (much easier). We'll get everything worked out.. We just need to get there, fuel up, eat and stand by..

I won't be able to make it out there this year(couldn't get the time off work). My folks live in Glendale AZ. I just drove back from there, I dont know if this has been discussed but just a heads up, on mile post 105 on both the east and west bound 10 fwy, the two lane road gets reduced into one for about 3/4 of a mile. On thanksgiving weekend I was stuck there for a bit. Have fun everyone and have a safe drive to and back.

I went to Blythe last week on a thursday and it was down to one lane but it didnt hinder traffic. Just slowed to Truck speed. Sunday may be a different story though!!!

EVERYONE. Looks like the norcal convoy is running faster than anticipated. Please be at your meeting spots earlier. The earlier we leave the earlier we get there. Be safe.
