Installing 4 pack gauges

I'm having some issues getting these to fit in my car. I ordered them off eBay and noticed they came from a 2010 SS, and I'm trying to put them in my 2014 SS. I'm not sure if they different sizes for the 10-12 and the 13-15, but they don't seem to fit under the radio bezel.

So... first, will these even work with my year? Anybody who has put these in their auto, what did you do to get them to fit? I've taken off the shifter to get more leverage, but just won't get under the A/C controls.

I don't believe they are dimensionally different, but can't say for sure. I purchased a set off ebay and installed them. You have to life the front up as you slide the rear in, but I don't remember it being much of a pain.

Doesn't appear there is any difference in 5gen yrs but it does appears there is difference between auto & manual bezels. See the RPI website which sells them custom painted but you have to specify auto or manual https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1877. Maybe contact them to see the difference is?

It was always a PITA to get it to fit under the a/c controls whenever I reinserted mine in my '13 manual. FWIW I put vasoline on the front tabs to make it a little ezer

It is a pain to put in, just use enough elbow grease to get it in, but not to much to the point that you'll break it, the wires in the back make it the pain in my experience

Only difference between the auto and manual is the shift pattern molded into it below the shifter. I have auto gauges in my manual car(th400 swap however).

I have a 14LS and put 10SS gauges in it but I don't recall having that much trouble.I have a manual and got auto gauges and console cover and the only difference I found was the auto leaves a gap at the front of shifter boot and as BO said "no shift pattern"

When I put OEM console LED lighting in I had to remove and re-install the gauge pack and it is tricky to do. Force is not needed if everything is aligned properly it will fall in to place.
All the wires need to be routed exactly in correct position. Then, the forward edge of the gauge pack bezel has two ears that stick way out and fit in to two tiny slots in the dash console. I had to lift up slightly on the front facing side of the bezel to get the ears to pop in to the two dash slots - it took a while to get the alignment of the ears correct. Force is NOT needed.
That ear end of the cluster assembly shows up well in this video clip from youtube.

As ron123 said ^^^ Don't Use Force! Just keep easily shimmying the cover so you don't scratch anything side to side, up & down ( try moving the wires around too) until the tabs line up with slots ...you can not force the tabs to line up, they just have to get into the right alignment -and eventually they will- and the cover will slip into place. Again, put vasoline on a Qtip and swab it on the tabs and the slots to make them mate ezer.

Ill give it another shot once I get back home. Work always has a habit of sending me out of town when I'm trying to get anything done with my car.

I still need to order the harness to get these functional, and I would assume I need the 13-15 harness even though these are for a 2010. The connection to the gauges appears to be the same, but the tap in for the harness itself is different for those years.

All ended up not making a difference anyways. I got my harness from gen5diy, and once everything was connected the gauges didn't function. Looks like I'll have to order a new set from gen5.

Did you eventually get the console gauges in place before you found out they didn't work?

No, I was doing good to connect everything up and test them before I had to hit the road for Raleigh.

Truthfully, I'm not sure if the gauges are faulty or if I need the harness for the 2010-2012 Camaros. Maybe the gauges used a different signal from 13-15? The harness I got connects under the kick panel on the passenger side, completely different from the connector under the console.
