Definitely DO NOT be unhappy with those numbers. Heck man, first off your right in there (pretty close) to what other guys with your mods are running (minus the fact that most of those guys are driving automatics), but you gotta keep in mind on top of that your dyno guy said that dyno typically reads a bit lower than other dynojets, AND it was hot as heck! So you factor all that in, and your doing well.
If your car was an auto, you would have probably dyno'd 10 HP less than that. Be proud, that your driving a V6 putting around 340HP/300TQ out at the crank (well maybe not that much on a HOT day lol)....maybe even a tad more. If I was you I'd go back on a cool day or this fall when its about 50 degrees out and give it another go...of course if your E85 tune works, you'll be makin even more power.

But would the E85 tune need some drive time as well to achieve best results?? Iono

Good question. I was with him on this for TRUE contrast results, but does the computer need time to adjust? One for Vince.

Well, Vince has said it does need time for his normal tune.

kmprenger you are right. For some reason I thought that our stock v6 dyno around 260hp. I dont know where I got that from. It must of been the heat boiling my thought process.
I didnt realize that my dyno numbers are actually really good until I started seeing past posts of other peoples stock and similar modded dynos. Im not too worried about todays number anyway. After all todays dyno was just to setup a base number in prep for e85 tune. Im happy with my performance so far regardless of the number. poorman, I have to empty out the 93 gas as much as I can and after that I have to at least go through a tank or two of e85 to effectively be converted. I am just hoping the tune can compensate for the extra 30-40% e85 to give the same gasoline effect. Vince seem optimistic about it. If this work than I am almost sure we can see 300whp - or + without going FI. I am just lucky to have plenty of e85 in my area. |

Also, I have to take into consideration that the e85 will have to be tweaked out with datalogging in between unless vince is just that good and can get it on one shot.

Don't worry so much about what the actual number is. Your right in the range you should expect and the dyno is just a tool. Your looks to see how this new mod (E85 tune) will improve over what you have now. The true test will come at the track.

With the stock intake you could have been pulling timing as the sensor really heats up.

After everything is setup and completed I will hit the track and get some numbers. its always a possibility but I am def not getting the full effect of my header due to my restricted factory intake. Theres def more power to be had. 300whp does not look too far away |

Im sure 93 gas and running catless had alot to do with it too, and vince did say that adding long tube with his new tune can see bigger gains. |

It would be fantastic if you were the first NA car to 300 RWHP, but I think you will still be a little shy even with the E85 and a CAI. However, PLEASE prove me wrong!
Good luck man, this is going to be very interesting.

E85 love boost and high compression. Mix those two into factor and peoples are seeing numbers and timing that you will never see with regular gasoline. Even if I can see minimum of 20hp like on vince car than I am positive that I can hit 300whp with vararam. Who knows, we might see even more. It all depends how far it will go before knocking but with the natural octane rating of 105+ and its cooling nature of e85 I am very optimistic |
