V6 Exhaust Upgrade

So I have a 2018 Camaro RS. It is a V6 and it does have a nice sound but I would like something a little more aggressive sounding. I have done some searching for exhaust and I always end up at BORLA. I was thinking of the BORLA S-Type because it seems like the middle ground. I don’t want one that is super obnoxious and I’m afraid the the BORLA- ATAK would be to much.

The stock setup I have now is good but you can’t get the full sound unless you go over 3000 RPMs anyway. If anyone could recommend a good exhaust that sounds great for take offs and just revs. Thanks!!!

So you don't have the dual mode factory exhaust? I did happen to hear our cars with the Flowmaster exhaust, and was impressed. Even more impressed when I heard how much cheaper it was over the others

Gotta be careful with the V6's. It's very easy to make them sound absolutely horrible. Some sound good at the lower rpm but when you get up into the revs it's horrible.

You could also go with a npp set up with the vavles open. Most people sell that for $100 or even give it away. That will give you some more tone and is cheap. You will need a quad tip defuser or just have the shop chop the inner tips off and put turn downs on them. You can use the stock non npp defuser.

That said my personal choice if I had a v6 would be MRT 2.0. it's not extremely expensive and the tone is pretty nice for a v6. Quality system I been out to MRT and they got some great people there. And a nice dog that hangs out in the shop. That's my first pick for a V6. Idle is pretty nice. Wot it's got a nice agressive tone and shifts sound good.

No I don’t have a dual mode factory exhaust. Just have two pipes, one on each side of the car. Is also worth mentioning my Camaro is a automatic. If that makes a difference.

I had the borla s type and I was Happy with it. It's loud when you want it to be. Cruise around and it's not obnoxious, put your foot down and people will definitely notice it. It has a nice deep growl and I think it was a good buy. I've had loud annoying exhausts before and I didn't want to do that again with the camaro... The S type did the job.

I have the same dual exhaust on my v6, I got a NPP exhaust and the only issue is finding a diffuser that isn’t super expensive and the ones that aren’t have an extra 100 or so for shipping.

ATAK!

I don,t know about s type but I love my atak axle back. Great bark on a cold start, mild rumble at low rpms...quiet inside the car, but hit the gas and it sounds FANTASTIC! Had it a while now, and it never gets old.

Could you record a video of the exhaust? Rev's in specific. Looking to get the ATAK and it's hard finding a good video of the revs.

It doesn't sound like much to rev it in park. You have to be rollin'
