Based on the way you described your pass, I think there's still some win missing from your tranny tune.

kmcd, good rematch win!
Revo, with long tubes and a tune you should be dipping into the 12's.

Yeah he should be able to adjust the tranny tune. In his base tune he does not change much in the transmission but some shift points. He take TRQ management out of the engine tune but do not think he takes any out of the transmission.
He base tranny tune he has stated is made to keep it safe for a long time. He could change some things in there but you will be lowering its life. Now I would run a 91 tune if in CA most of the time, you are pulling timing and it would run better on a 91 tune I think. Give Ted a call. |

WOT Shifts
So my stock 5th gen SS (L99) ran great. I added a Halltech CAI, Borla CatBack ATAK exhaust, and 102mm TB. Tuned it with a Diablo inTuner, increased shift pressure to the point where shifting from 1st to second when pressing the gas accordingly spins the tires no problem. Of course the shifting is hard, feels great knowing the HP is there and increased, fun to shift from 1st to 2nd, but my question is; this is my daily car and have been running this car with the pressure shift up because the wheel spin is fun and have that fun once in a while, and if I keep the pressure set as is, how harmful is it to the tranny and rear end not to mention the crank/engine etc... Thanks.

Get your 60ft times a little closer to 2.0 and you'll be running 12's. Also, like others said, get your tune adjusted. If you've got LT headers and you're running a tune for stock exhaust, you're leaving HP on the table. Your car is no different than mine and I run 12's every weekend. Work on your driving, get out of the hole a little better.. that car will run a 2.0 60ft on a bad track with street tires. Also, chirping the tires into third should be no problem. Ted's a good tuner and he will fix you up.
Best procedure to get an L99 out of the hole? ... Turn off all of the nannies by holding the button down for 10 seconds. Stabiltrak will kill your times. Trust me on this. When you stage, preload the converter by holding your revs just under 1000 (Two foot it). When the third light turns yellow, let off the brake and roll into the gas... quickly. Takes a few times to get it down pat, but it's pretty simple. Good luck with it. Lots of great advice in the drag racing section of this forum. One more thing.. On the night you ran, the DA was 2721, which isn't great. Your corrected time was 13.192 @ 109.159 http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php
