Hello to all!
I've been reading on this forum ever since I saw my first 2010 Camaro and then I did it!! I ordered one and then I found myself on here more and more looking at pictures and reading what everyone is saying about their experiences.
I'm trading my 2007 Toyota FJ in on a Black/Beige 2SS manual. I've never been this excited about getting a new car and I love my FJ. I've been a member of an FJ forum for a long time, but I'm sure as soon as they find out I'm trading it in on an "american car" I'll be flamed outta there! Anyway, I've been in my local dealer usually twice a week, right now they're giving one away in July, so I go in and chat with the dealer and fill out entries. If I win I'm going to still keep my order and sell the one I'd win back to my dealer and pay off my FJ, then I'll have 2 kick-ass toys! My order is officially going into the system on Tuesday. I was told at the rate their orders are taken and filled I should be able to expect delivery late July to mid August. These next few months are going to kill ME!!! Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! PS - Heard a rumor that the plant was going to shut down for 2 weeks in June, anyone else here this? |

Last I herd it was now only a week but that might have changed. The search tab should put you on the right thread to get the latest up dates. Welcome to the site

It's not as bad as you think....it will give them more time to get the ones sitting shipped out, and not adding to the "pile" in the lots.....also to re-tool the plant and fix things along the line. Plus they will be ramping-up more on production and working saturdays, so it's really a very minute setback.

From my experience in the factory they will still have a skeleton crew on board for this. When I worked in a plant for shutdown most of the people left, but some people did stay back ran some lines especially those that were hott. So I dont expect to see a huge amount produced but they will still be kicking out some cars. Also welcome and congrats on buying american, people dont think it but everything little thing that we buy american will help us out right now
