Flowmaster American Thunder kit installed

Hey guys/gals,

I just got home from installing the flowmaster kit on my V6, and also added the Magnaflow resonated x-pipe.
I like this kit alot, the sound outside is nice, and quieter inside, which is comfortable; you can listen to your radio and not get annoyed lol

i have to get used to the tips; they stick out a bit, but dont wanna burn any plastics, so i'll run them, and move back later if needed.

Overall i am thrilled with this kit, installing my Eibachs on Friday, so im very excited.

Local shop welded the pipes on for me, installed everything for $175.

I love the Flowmaster AT. Installed mine this past Saturday. Great sound and Great looks!! Not sure why everybody is interested in the X-pipe though. This system dosn't need it. I have no drone what so ever. Just a mean sounding exhaust. Save your money and spend it on other mods. X-pipe not needed.

RPI designs painted the bowties, the chrome wasnt in brand new condition, but only picky people like me notice HAHA

i never heard without the xpipe, but the resonated pipe is a good find and nice addition to the car, if you want to quiet it down....to each their own!! I drive 1 hr to and from work everyday, didnt really wanna hear the exhaust drone all the way there and back!

just got home, went grab a bite, it is REALLY quiet inside with the resonated x-pipe.
If you want to hear more inside, i dont recommend.

I dont mind because i rather quiet, or music while inside...easier on dates to have a conversation! haha

Yep...I have the resonated X with my magnaflows as well, and as I've been saying...if you want an 'in your face' loud system...the resonated X may not be what you want.

That said..if you want a smooth sound with the least amount of rasp then it is a good choice. Whether or not it actually lowers the overall tone or not, I don't know. But I do have a nice deep tone with mine that sounds very nice inside the cabin...just not MRT loud-like.

Also, I'd recommend the resonated X to someone that already has a loud system that just wants to smooth things over or get rid of some rasp...I don't see the X tameing something like the MRTv1 down too much....not that that system is raspy.
