Any news on V6 manual tranny?
I have hear that there was an issue with the original spec, and that they had to mod the spec and are awaiting the parts. The rumor was that they would have it by the 18th of May.
Is any part of this true and if so, are they still on track? Pateintly waiting...

Dealer told me the same thing today when I was talking about the battery cable issue with them...said it was only the automatic trannys though, V6s, something about two caps or plugs for the tranny. Mannuals were ok...no other info from my end but I too heard about it. Not sure what it was as I have a V8.

No new news, all we know is that mine and GTOs tpw got pushed backk to June 1st, meaning all v6 manual trans have been pushed back yet again.
I guess they are still waiting for the new spec parts. Could be a supplier issue, maybe they dont want to give parts to GM in fear of Chapter 11 Bankruptsy, GMs deadline is June 1st isnt it? |

Yes it is.
Once you reach 3000, can you change your order? If so, I may switch to an auto so I can get my car.

Dealer got a call back from the plant contact.
He was informed the V6 MANUAL transmission will be available for June 1 builds. I guess we will now miss the Total Support program that ends June 1st.

This situation is complete bullshit. I'm really getting tired of all this second hand information about this matter. I don't doubt what you are saying, I'm just frustrated that we have to hear it this way and not some kind of official notification. Oh, wait, there's been "no delay".....

I sent a note to the sales manager at my dealer asking for a status update and mentioning the rumors about the V6 manual transmission problems and the ongoing delays. I'll wait and see what his response will be.

Got an e-mail yesterday saying my new build week is June 1st. From 4/27 to 6/1.... not a happy camper here.

GTO has it the worst out of all of us. Well lets see, June 1st build, im guessing its safe to say....Quality Hold!
Who knows, but if there is no QC hold, and factory stripes are put on same day(which i dont think soo) then mine should be here mid June! |
