ACS Composite TL1 version Hood Liner with LED Pods.

Finally came out today is my new liner TL1 version with 4 LED pods to be installed tomorrow, I have the TL1 insert and this is the first one made for it with lights. Got it painted in gray same as my wheels for a contrasting effect. Note that there are NO plasctic plugs to attach the liner to the hood so you can do some nice Air Brushing if you wish.

Installed pics to come.

Here's a teaser:

That looks great, does it go over the regular hood insulator or replace it?

It replaces it. I'm not affraid of heat since I had an ACS Nickey Chicago Stinger DTM Hood for 2 years without insulators and I had absolutely no paint or heat problem. Also with the TL1 you don't have to worry.

Well I know the insulator is really more for sound absorption than heat protection anyway.
Do they have it listed on the web site yet?

I don't thiks so. This is the first one made and my Hood was used as a mule since they had to place the pods so they would'nt interfear with my Hotchkis Strut brace. But pods should be a standard from that.

I'll ask Joe tomorrow when it should come out.

Will keep you posted on that. Mine includes the liner, paint, pods install and the install.

Here's the basic price fro ACS:

http://www.acscomposite.com/store/?~...05&id=26359254

ACS just added the LED pods on their site with pricing.

Liner installed

Pic of the liner installed, pic in the dark with the 4 LED pods. There is an independant switch for both LED light kits. Both are now pened. (amber in the front).

By the way these allows a lot of lighting when working in the engine bay.

More to come...

Looks great, what holds it on? Do you need to use adheasive to keep rattles down?

The 3 screws holding the water plate does most of the job, as for the front exterior parts we added some 2 sided tape, Joe is working on an invisible clamp to replace the EOM big plastic ones, will take sometime though. But as far as I'm concerned, the tape does the job very well.

The insert without ports can be glued also.
