I was just cruising around on ebay and found this auction.

I thought it was interesting that this vehicle is for sale right now. If you didn't notice, the VIN is 2G1FF1EVXA9000803, the auction does explain the method to it..

So does that mean this car is officially 803 pre production or is it the official 803rd car to be product?

it doesn't have the number "1" check digit after the nine. That means pre production.
Yes. The CTF #36 = Captured Test Fleet #36. Pre production

Not so sure I would want to drive it long term though. The CTF cars are where they get all the kinks out. Maybe if it were at a good price.

that car has been listed for so long on autotrader.com even before i placed my order for my car...i pass by this dealer everyday on my way to school...they have so many cars on there lot (in the thousands i think)

interesting information they post up. That would definitely be a selling point for me, i need exactly 2 headrests in the front two seats, one wouldnt suffice.
