Today I picked up the wiring for the car audio for the Camaro! I ended up going with 0 gauge and 4 gauge wiring for the power cables.

So this is it, my stereo is completely purchased and ready to be installed into the car! Problem is, I'm still waiting for my car to arrive which should be within the next month hopefully as I was told end of June.

The setup consists of:
1. 4 10" Premier shallow mount subs which will fit nicely in the trunk and I will still have tons of space left when the install is complete.

2. Premier 4-way top 6x9s for the rear factory speaker replacement.

3. Premier TS-C720PRS competition components for the door speaker replacements.

4. Premier PRS-D1200SPL competition amplifier for the subs.

5. Premier ICE POWERED PRS-D4200F amplifier for the front and rear speakers.

6. 8-Farad Sound Stream Capacitor to ensure high clean energy levels at all times.

7. A mountain of splitter connection pieces, converter kits and fuses to ensure proper installation.

8. 10 feet of 0 gauge wire from battery to cap to splitter, 10 feet of 4 gauge wire from splitter to each amp, 25 feet of 12 gauge wire for the 4 subs and 120 feet of 16 gauge wire to wire up all the speakers in the car and wire signal from the factory speakre wire which I have a converter for to tap into to achieve a small signal.

Shaun
I totally get it about the shallow mount subs by Pioneer. I have two 10s in a box under the back seat in my Colly being pushed by a PDX 1.1000 Alpine that actually bench tested 1145 RMS. Sounds amazing. I have an extra one i'm planning on using in my Camaro. They aren't cheap but damn they're worth the money.

Why 10 ft? The battery is in the trunk, aren't you putting the amps in the trunk, or is 10 ft something to do with competition?

Looks great!

My question is: How do you get rid of the buzz and rattle of the car itself? I mean, just turning the stereo up a little with the stock set up causes the door panals to sound like they are falling off.

But still looks cool
I love them, but I would rather have an amazing Home theater system than an amazing car stereo system.

I agree completely. I actually finished my home theater about a year and a half ago. Nothin' better than watching blu-ray movies on my 110" screen with the 7 channel Dolby Tru-surround loss-less sound track!!!

But as far as the camaro, I'll just throw a powered sub in the trunk and call it good..

If you spend more time in your car going to a from work, or to various places then you do watching movies, car audio is the way to go...lol

I have a pretty decent setup in my car, new speakers all around, 12" MTX Sub and couple of amps.

In a system like the one the OP is putting in is not meant to cranked to the max so ur neighbors feel ur music, couple a shitty 12inch subs in a ported box can do that. That system is designed to sound good, really good. Better definition, depth, range, the whole nine yards. When you listen to music through a properly done, crisp system, it just sounds better

I have 2 18 MTX and 2 10 MTX's sitting around, not installed at the moment. The 18's are deadly lol.

That Pioneer gear is really sweet man.

Seems like this will turnout to be a good system!!! I look forward to the install pics. In addition to pictures, you should post a "How To" for creating those boxes in the trunk!
