Are these a good option? please.

need some advice.
living in Miami Fl. summer 99% of the year.
sort of tired of trowing $ 1200 bucks in tires every 9 month or less.

ZL1 is a 2012 daily drive car with original wheels. i don't track/drag her. floor the pedal once in awhile to have some fun.

what do you think of the following option:

CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DW 340 AA A
Max Performance Summer
315/35ZR20 rear
275/35ZR20 front

ESTIMATED TOTAL:
$1,098.94

They are nice tires, but you will lose traction when you get on it. Not going to handle cornering as well either. They will last a lot longer. I have these for my winter setup.

Are you certain that you don't have the Conti DWS for winter ?
The DW would not work well in the cold weather and not at all in the snow.

I have the DWS for winter and the MPSS for summer.
The MPSS seem to last fine on my daily driver.
Just keep the pressures checked regularly.

The DW is a great summer-only tire.

The DWS is an "all season" tire.

That being said - I've been in plenty of vehicles with the Conti DW tires. My dad put them on his M5. They seem to work really really well.

Check out the Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires. Good tire for a great price. There are a couple of threads here on them.
