no i think its saying that the l68 is from the ls3 but equal to the ls9. so both motors come from the ls3. so what vehicle is the ls8 in now. the ls9 is the new zr1 motor,so where does the s8 fall in place and what kind of power are we looking at???

We don't know, yet. The mag that told us of GM's supercharged engine lineup predicted the LS9 would be put into the ZR-1...and so it has been.

It also predicted that the LS8 would be for the Top-of-the-line Zeta platform cars in a ~450 hp tune. Then a higher 500-550hp tuned version would poke it's way into the Z06 (if I remember correctly). We have yet to see if any of that's true.

btw...all the pic was supposed to imply was that both the LS8 and the LS9 were derivitaves of the LS3...not that they were equal

hmmm. so the "ls8 will get about 450+hp and the ls9 gets 550+? and the ls3 gets about 430 now, what is the point of having a s/c ls8 for 20-40 more hp??

my numbers were off a little, not ~450...but 475-500. and then the Z06 would have an uptuned version, (I'd guess) pushing 550.

i thought the ls9 is like 605 hp? if 605 is right i would expect about 550 for the s/c ls8 and 430-450 for the ls3. that makes more sense to me, but im not makinf the calls there.
