Then do it. I did, and it was worth it to me. People should not expect to feel any real power difference, however. (But I did not spend $400)

I installed mine a couple days ago and it's great! I took the car on the freeway yesterday and kept it steady at 65MPH and saw a gain of almost 3 mpg! I"m impressed! The sound is great too!

Thanks! It's a great intake system. However, today I went in to get my inspection sticker and the guy said that supposedly these intakes are illegal in Texas because Cold air inductions has not had them registered with DOT? Anyone else get this issue??

Are systems are not CARB compliant, basically they are not tested and certified for any emissions standards. The costs heavily outweigh the benefits for us, and people usually just use their stock system for inspections and put our CAI after the fact. Some of our largest dealers are located in Texas, and we sell intakes to people in that state daily, technically they are for "off road use only" which is the case for many aftermarket parts.

Hope you saved your factory airbox..

If not, hmu, I still have mine I'll let go fairly cheap.

Thanks brother, luckily I did save my stock airbox in case a dealer ever made a big deal over the the new intake.. Plus, the guy at the inspection place didn't make a big deal out of it. He just complimented me on the sound
