How much to replace all the speakers and all that?

How much would it roughly be to get all the speakers replaced in a camaro with the boston acoustics system? the 6x9s, 6.5 door speakers, tweeters... all of it. i'm guessing i'd need a new amp as well. How much am i looking at to get all new speakers/amps and rewiring done?

also if you have any recommendations on what speakers to get or who to get to install them, please add.
Thanks.

thats way too open ended of a question.

it could cost anywhere from 1000.00 to 10,000.00.

Head unit alone can be anywhere from 50.00 to 1500.00 then add the cost of the metra kit for 200 - 250.

processing, speakers, amps, wiring, sound deadening, etc...

your best bet is to find a shop local to you that you trust, get to know the installers, talk to them, get thier input, have them design and build you a system... they can help you work out a budget and make sure that you get what you need for what you want to spend.

whatever you do, dont just go in and start asking for quotes to get things done, thats one of the easiest ways to get screwed on price and performance. take some time to get to know them and vice versus, it will cost you some time, and save you some money.

Changing to the BA system is not worth it at all. Do a custom system on a budget and it will blow away the BA system.

As Topdown stated, it all depends on your budget.

Agree with what Topdown said. We all have opinions and preferances... it all depends on what you want and are willing to pay.

Good Luck and have fun in the process - there are a lot of good choices!

Head unit Pioneer 3300BT was $450 when I bought it... can get for around $350 now
Metra kit can be purchased for around $200
Kicker 6.5" components for front I got for roughly $80
Kicker 6x9 rear speakers I got for $65

All that comes up to about $800 (what I paid) and I installed everything myself.

I would recommend starting one project at a time, unless your made of money.

First, get new speakers. I got mine on ebay for doors and rear 150 bucks. and you can install them yourself, if you follow the tuturial on here.

Head unit, 300 on up
Dash kit 250 on up.
Subs and box, 400 on up
Amps. 300 on up
Misc. wiring rca cables 100 +

I enjoy my car. When MTV quits using a shop due to quality issues with "Free" cars, there is no way I would ever let them touch my car. I've see two cars that have had major rework required from their shop and I don't have the expendable income to just throw at a shop for the sake of having their name associated with my car.
