Rear Axle Fluid Change - Problem/Question

I have a Magnaflow Catback and as per the owners manual, I'm due a rear axle fluid change @21000 miles (which I realized am too late when plenty others did this under 7000 miles).

Anyways, when I got under the car... The exhaust pipe is right in front of the drain plug. I can hardly put my fingers in that gap...

Do I need to take the pipes off to do this job?
Did anyone else run into the same issue? Name: image.jpg

sorry, might be asking silly questions..
Can I remove part of the pipes?
or do I have to remove it all from the rear end?

Sorry, haven't done this job before... So trying to prepare myself..
