23000 Miles - MAINTENANCE
Hey Guys,
Bought mine new in 2012 December. V6 - Manual Transmission, 23000 Miles. I have just been doing Engine Oil Changes & Recently did a Rear Axle Fluid Change. Cabin Air Filter this week. 1. Did i miss any maintenance ? 2. Manual Transmission Fluid - When do i first do it & how often there after (which one would you suggest?) ? 3. Do i put grease or some kind of fluids on suspensions, tie rods etc ? Following the Manufacturers Manual, i got confused & did the Rear Axle Fluid change very late ... Don't want to be in such situation again... Appreciate your input.

If I remember correctly, none of the front suspension components have lube points.
I haven't even changed the cabin air filter on mine yet, and I just turned 50k miles. I have changed the transmission fluid and differential fluid though, it probably had never been done. There's not really a lot of things to do until you start getting to 100k miles plus, the coolant is 5 yrs/120k miles. I think the manual transmission fluid probably states like 100k miles but I would probably change it around 50k, or the manual might even say it's not a service item. Modern cars really don't have much to do other than oil changes and just keeping an eye on stuff like brake pads and filters.

Have you flushed the brake fulid? I like to do a brake fluid flush and change every two years. As it absorbs water and the boiling point goes down.
