In the above link to the pics, I see pic 17 has a close up of the rear gills, these appear closed, is this just on the pre production cars or will they be closed in on the production cars as well?

The gills will be closed. Just as they were on the 1st gen. If you want 'em opened, you will need a VERY good body shop. Sorry to be a buzz-kill.

I believe I read somewhere in all the info yesterday that the AUX-in port was in the console storage under the armrest.

No chance of getting a aftermarket cd/dvd player in that car.

Why not? The interior is not really attractive, so i was about to cover it up with cd/dvd player LCD screens. you know, the one that has LCD screen and pops up? Ex. Pioneer ones....

The only reason I would want to open the slits is if I decided to buy an STS twin turbo kit (if they make one) - then I could put the air filters for the turbos back there by the wheels and hopefully suck in air from the slits.

I love the seats as well. If its anything like the vert concept (and the seats are very similar) then the back seats will look a lot like the front seats. My favorite part by far is the shift knob. (Hence, the new avatar).
