First adams detail

Just spent two hours washing and waxing my car for the first time (I've always paid to have it done). I think it turned out great the car shampoo really brings out the metallic in the carbon flash paint. I know it wasn't a perfect job especially the wax I feel that it is very uneven but for my first time I couldn't be happier. The paint reflects so much that the car looks dirty but it's actually just the ground that's dirty

Looks great!! I always washed and waxed my own cars. No one will ever do the job like you. Even though at times it can be tedious getting all the nooks and crannies and those spots that won't come out. But it is definitely worth it. I did a paint correction a few days ago, it came out great, but I want to wash it and wax it all over again because I enjoyed it so much.

I forgot to mention in my first post.... Adams detail spray... Greatest product on earth!! My only worry is that in one wash.... I went thru almost half a bottle, is this normal or did I go overboard? The stuff looks and smells great on the car but if it only lasts two washes I may have to find another product

You can lighten up on the detail spray a bit, and buy it by the gallon. Much cheaper.

I would think a couple of ounces tops - per application. One good microfiber and it becomes wet with the product and extends the application.

I was thinkin' the same thing but wasn't going to say anything.

Car looks good, just remember detailing can be habit-forming.

Kinda confused her. How does a simple wash and some wax constitute a
"Detail"?
I've Always understood a detail to include any necessary paint
correction ( slight scratches and swirls) and I'm not sure labeling a liquid detail spray makes it
so.

as someone stated, buy it by the gallon as its much cheaper. And you can continue to refill your spray bottle. I usually go through about 1/3 of a bottle in a detail. I also use Mequiars detail spray as the lube for clay barring so I'm not burning through the Adam's stuff.

Was also my first experience with Adam's detail spray. Excellent product... Still love it and use it for special occasions. But it is priced way to high, even at the gallon size for me to justify using it as much as I use my UWW+ detail spray.

I say pick up UWW+, you will be paying cents a gallon compared to $40 or whatever it is for Adam's. And keep Adam's for special occasions.
