I think the 3.73s with the 28 inch almost 29 inch tall tire is about perfect for that car. It makes enough low to mid range torque to pull mid 1.5 60's if not better.
4.10 is the perfect ratio with 28.9 tires. They are crossing the stripe at 5745 with the 3.73's. With 4.10's they will be crossing the stripe at 6200 at 130 MPH with a 1:1 trans gear.

Normally everything is a compromise from one to the other. the ZL1 is starting to show that it will be able to hang pretty good at both tracks with a little work and not upsetting the cars suspension or much of anything else.

Also people talk about the warranty, everything I have seen on this car can be switched back to stock pretty easy unless GM is actually watching how many times the tune is changed. I had heard rumors of this but never got anything solid on it.
They can see if the tune has been flashed.

Seat time, assuming its an automatic makes no difference. Are we talking about reaction time's getting better?? As far as I am concerned its as simple as pushing down the far right pedal and letting the ECU shift for you.

So name 2 more please.
You need to make it out to the track more often.

It would be perfect if they were planning to not run anymore more MPH. Im sure they plan on going faster

I think 130 is plenty and in race car terms knocking on 10 zero's. For ET they need to launch the heavy car with gear or low end torque. Gear is the easy answer for that and 4.10's will still not hit the limiter in 4th at the stripe at 130.

Perhaps because the Camaro's performance may always be boxed in by the Corvette. GM would likely never produce a Camaro with more HP than their top performer and money maker.

more hp to go faster, more gear to go quicker...(in this case) I agree with the 4:10 observation, unless of course you are aiming for real low 10's high 9's in which case more power to the level of needing a forged rod/piston combo I think.

Cts-v has an LSA in it. 556hp instead of 580hp.

The heck with race gas, we are about to spray one with a dual nozzel alky kit and a smaller pulley.

Lets not forget the race wheels that were run on the car also...Awesome times none the less!
