Z28 vs C7Z

So I was at this dealership over a month ago and a GM rep was asking the manager why the Z28 was still not sold. Price being $76000 I mentioned how GM guys know of the pricing of the up coming Z06 and with a bottom price around $78000 I too would prefer the Z. They told me the Z wasn't due until like March. Well guess what I saw today at Macmulkin Chevy/Cadillac in NH. Not one but 2 Z07s white and red. I got to sit in them too and after I have to ask, what's a Z28. Pics later.

I drove a C7 Z06 last week. If I was in the market, I would go with the Z06 over the Z/28 without question.

I really did. The sound from that car is really unbelievable. It is truly a beast.

Guy in our car club is a GM over at chevy. I was asking him if he still had the Z28 I saw on the lot 3 months ago and he said yeah. Jokingly I told him I'd take it off their hands for 50k. He said don't laugh, they might do it. Apparently they have 2 Z28's and they can't move them. The Z28 isn't selling as well as anticipated. He said over the next couple months they are probably going to start accepting offers in the high 50's. Not that I want a Z28 given I have a 1LE and Vette GS. But yeah, I can't see how chevy priced the Z28 so high given the prices on a regular C7 and now the Z06.

I'd take the ZO-6 all day and every other night over the Z-28 .

Goto the corvette forum. They are all over. Several dealers selling MSRP or even discounts. You can order one however you want, so if you want one for $78k, then do it.

Which corvette forum? I've looked on corvetteforum.com and Corvette7.com. Every one I've seen for sale has been $90k or above. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place, or because they are higher trim packages, but I haven't seen a single z06 for sale anywhere under $90k.

Go to your favorite dealer and ask for their next allocation. Then you build it to your specs and if you have a good relationship with your dealer they will sale it to you for MSRP or less. If you get one they ordered for their showroom, it is going to have more bells and whistles than a 1LZ...they want to wow potential customers after all.

You can order for MSRP or less. If you want a $78k one, then order one. Right now most people are ordering loaded ones, that doesn't mean you can't order a $78k one from 25 different dealers this afternoon.

78k is base MSRP dealers don't stock base corvette's that often as they target people with $$.

you can order a base all day long though. it might chagne now that the a8 constraint is lifted many people were holding back for that so allocation might get tighter for a wile.

the fact the z07 package is 8k and you have to select a 3k package to add it many cars you look at top 90k easy as all you have to do is look at a z07 car and it is 90k base.

Do you have to order from the dealer? I tried going to Chevrolet.com but the build & price option isn't available for the Z06, unless there's another page for it.
