The ZR1 time originally posted by Tran was a few tenths of a second slower than the ZL1 time. Now whether or not that was an error or just a previous time when the ZR1 was first released (without PTM and the sport cup tires), I don't know.

It was the original ZR1 time, not the updated time. Hence it being gone now

I think that is an excellent estimate of the base MSRP for the ZL1. The ZL1's MSRP needs to be close to that number so that it will be able to successfully compete with the GT500 for pony car dollars.

I'd like to believe this car will be in the Low $50k range but, when I went shopping for my '11 1SS, I saw plenty of 2SS Camaros in the $42,000-$44,000 range(I'm sure they were well equiped).. That's why I can't believe this 2012 Camaro ZL1 is going to anyway reasonable in the MSRP department..

The GT500, fully optioned out with the track pack, is about mid $50's. The ZL1 will not be far from that considering all the performance features that are standard. Heck, the CTS-V starts at a price close to the $62k you predict. Do you really think GM is going to price a Camaro that closely to a Cadillac? No need to go all Chicken Little on the subject of price point.
