keeping the radiator clean of insects, etc.
I tried to search for threads about this, but did not have success.
I constantly clean my camaro to ensure the front end doesn't have bugs staying on it too long, however, it's a bit more difficult for me to keep the radiator clean once those bugs get wedged in those fins. This would really detract from the car's look during car show season... So my question is, How do you all keep your radiator looking all nice and shiny? Any tips, tricks? Or just doing what I find myself doing, removing the top shroud every so often to reach down and get those damn things off. |

I think its pretty unavoidable... Maybe you could pressure wash the radiator every once in a while? I've never seen anyone look into the grill to look at the radiator at a show, lol.

if you're running lights in the grill area, it draws attention to it. I do try to pressure wash it every so often, just a necessary evil i suppose

Its difficult to remove them because they're also really well baked onto the surface due to the heat as well. All you can really do is hose it down occasionally and hope for the best.

When I installed the heritage grill and had the front off the car I installed steel mosqito screen behind the front bumper ect in front of the radiator. Catches small rocks and bugs of all sizes =)

Also, when you're spraying water at it; do it from the inside the engine. So spray the back side of it. This will push the bugs and what not out.
