Passenger seat will not adjust

I know the warranty will cover this but has anyone else experienced the passenger seat not adjustable using the lever on the front of the seat?

I should be able to lift up on the lever and slide the seat backwards and forward but nothing happens.

Yup, I have that, too! I eventually got it to work, but it is still very stubborn. Almost feels like it is not releasing, like I am going to break off the latch handle. I wonder if it is something as simple as lack of lubricant. I haven't taken it in for warranty work yet, and I won't be driving it enough in the winter to worry about it.

Use your OTHER hand at the same time and release the lever in the seat back.

I've noticed that the pass seat definitely works better with someone sitting there trying to operate it. It seems to need weight to effectively let it slide back or forth. Trying to move it from the driver's seat takes a little effort. Not enough to concern me though. I'm sure some light lubricant on the tracks would loosen that thing up.

Why would I try to move it from the drivers seat?

It still won't budge so into the dealer it goes.

Mine is tough to move, but like stated earlier it seems to work better if you sit in it, and then move it that way.

Makes me wonder if those 700 sensors in that seat cause it to do this.

My wife and I experienced this same problem in one of the Camaros we test drove. The dealer actually had to come jimmy with it for about 2 min before it would move.

I am able to adjust the passenger seat in my '95 from the driver's seat with no problem. If I know I am going to have two passengers, (rarely!) I will lean over and adjust the seat forward before the passengers get in. Right now, that is not possible in my '10 Camaro.

The new one has a lot more room in the back seat compared to my '95, so I would be more likely to need to adjust that seat. I see that you and I are not the only ones who have noticed this problem, Trado!

Alright, I got the passenger seat to adjust by having my son sit in the back and while I lifted up on the handle having him slowly apply pressure with his knees.

It started to move and as I continued to move it back and forth it did so freely.

I know this is a old thread, but did someone else found the little lock thing? I am having the same problem adjusting the seat.
