Motor Trend Drives Subaru BRZ!

They seem to like driving the prototype around heres the article. I gotta admit that the two Toyotas look better though from what I am seeing the Subaru doesnt look as kool or agressive in the front.

If they're only expecting to sell 3000 a year then they're going to make it overpriced imo. But I bet it'll be a fun car to drive around on road courses...

I think they're talking about 3000/month. 3000 a year is impossible for the amount of R&D money they spent on a $20k+ car.

The world needs this car, it will be a better place for having a hot looking small sports car. For a long time now, too many 20-somethings are driving ultra boring anti-cars like Corollas and Civics. Real™ car passion needs to return.

It looks small. Sort of like the Honda S2000 or Mazda Miata (MX-5).

The first time I see one, I'll be sure to tell the owner it's "cute"

Straight from the article:

Quote:
Engineers were tight-lipped about exact production numbers, but they nodded in agreement when we coughed up a 3000-unit-per-year guess. That would put the BRZ in current WRX STI production territory, making it a low-volume niche car.

Not exactly. Remember this is just the Subaru version. there is the toyoata and Scion versions that will be sold worldwide too and i am sure that is just US sales as i am sure the BRZ will be sold worldwide too.

a leaked brochure has the price at 28,000 dollars.

2800 Lb, 200 HP, $28,000. i don't think that will sit right with many people.
