She was having small victories day by day but she had a set back. She has a huge fluid build up on her right lung. They are trying to extract it with a needle to drain as much as they can. We been in here over a month now and it's crazy. Seems the PCA's and nurses are getting sloppy or my nerves are getting shorter. I hope I am not "that" patient family member. Just a small update. Thanks again for your prayers and support!

My prayers are with your wife and the family. I went through something similar with my 3 year old son who had a brain tumour and went through 7 operations, radiation therapy, high-dose chemo..... he is now 9 and healthy.

Prayers do work and wish you all the best.

I looks like we could be going home on Friday. After 45 days in the hospital. It looks like they have done all they can to make her comfortable and it time to go home and wait it out. The Dr is sending us home tomorrow morning to let her enjoy the rest of the days she has left with Family. He said when she gets worse, to bring her back to the hospital or consider home hospice care. He said its a matter of months. I am not ready for this! I know and she knows she is well with God and her suffering will end, but it's still hard to deal with. She broke down crying like 3 times today that she is not ready to die.

I don't know what to do!

Oh man, focus on your time together now. Try to be positive, get the family together tell each other just how much you mean to each other. Share laugh and be honest. I'll keep praying for you and for strength.

Yesterday the Dr. officially gave the hospice orders. She comes home an we start the process of hospice home care. She is so tired and wants to fight it and be strong like she always has but she just can't

Her daughter had to tell her 4 year old about what's fixing to happen and no one should ever have to do that. Its starting to wear on me and I don't know how much longer I can hold up.
