Actually, the 15.3 was my wife. She accidentally braked before the finish line.

Does anyone here use the DS Predator tuner? Anyhoo, granted, the time/speed results are not earth shattering, however, to make it a little easier to get the point of the time slips is this: I averaged the times and speeds of my runs with the DS 91 oct tune vs those of the modified stock tune. I had 9 runs using the 91 oct tune (over 2 different days) and 5 runs (one day) using the modified stock tune. I cooled the engine to somewhere between 190-194 degrees between runs. All Predator settings for each tune were the same - fan settings, firmer shifting, MDS off, tire sizes, etc. The other point was to give you guys an idea of where the RT is at timewise (I know, others are faster).

The thing that really shocked me was the difference in performance between the two:

DS 91 oct tune speed/time average: 96.17 mph @ 14.55 secs (9 runs)

DS modified stock tune speed/time average: 100.26 mph @ 14.23 secs (5 runs)

The modified stock tune was 4.9 mph and .32 secs faster on average!

For those interested in approx DA info: Density Altitude: 3089 feet, Relative Density: 91.27 %

Again, I'm not trying to bash the DS Predator - it's a great tool. I did however expect to get better results using the 91 oct tune and frankly, I'm surprised. I realize these are not a lot of runs to make judgements, however, there are enough to see there is a substantial difference. While I'm going to continue with this little experiment, I would appreciate it if anyone can shed some light on these results!

did you raise your shift points and max redline by 150-200rpm? Get yourself a 180' thermostat, and set your cooling fans to kick on at a lower temp. I would do the 25 cent fan mod too....just a 8 gauge jumper to replace either your high side or low side or 2 to do both so they run while you're parked and get that engine cooler quicker. the hemi hates to run hot.

Your not supposed to raise the shift points on an RT. I have the 180 t-stat and lowered the fan temps on both tunes - the settings were identical. Seems like a custom tune is the way to go.

I imagine there must be some great Mopar Tuners out there such as what we have with Ted Jannetty here. Why don't you purchase one of their custom tunes then you know you have the right settings to achieve the best performance?

The computer programming and tuning that came with the third generation Hemi engines (2009-current) and associated programming for the transmission, IIRC, does not allow the changing of shift points.

Yeah, I'm going to look into a custome tune, maybe even a dyno tune. If I could find a good company for an email tune, I might try that. Does Ted Jannetty have a website? What about DTP?

NO, actually, the Jeep is the slowest SRT8 of them all. I use to have a charger SRT8 and raced a lot of jeeps SRT8, and they will get you of the line because of the AWD, but you will catch them at the 1/8 mile and beat them by about a car.

I love both cars, the one thing I don't like about the SRT8 is that they are more expensive to mod, and you also have less options in parts.... If I were you I wouldn't have trade the Camaro for a Challenger
