I have not used those polishes personally. I'm sure they are great, almost everything Chemical Guys makes is.

And blackfire is awesome. I think you're on the right track. Keep us posted with your results.

I hope I'm not overstepping in Matt's thread, but don't get the Porter Cable. While it is a potent machine, for the same price you can get a much better machine: Griot's Garage

You're not overstepping. I've never used a Griot's. I hear great things and it is more powerful. However, my PC has been an absolute tank and never given me a stitch of trouble over hundreds of hours of use. Maybe thousands. It's very capable.

Yup mine is pretty reliable too (at least as far as I've used it), but if you do ever have a problem with the Griot's Garage, and of course not saying you would, but if you do, it comes with a lifetime warranty

Do you recommend a "jeweling" product like menzerna 4500 after the optimum products or should the optimum products leave a good finish?

The optimum leaves a really nice finish. That being said, I often use the 4500 on my car afterwards to really get perfection. 99% of people would never notice the difference, but it can help. Certainly nowhere near necessary though.

I hope Todd sends you his Ammo product line to try out, I would lov to read your review of his product line. I am also a big fan of Junkman as well. It's so true "technique over product".

I think you mean Larry, and I already purchased the AMMO line from him and am in the process of reviewing them. I have another thread up on it right now.
