Non-GM Discount?
I saw somewhere that GM had a $1000 rebate for owners of non-GM cars that were getting a new GM car. I can't seem to find this again so I was wondering if any of you all know anything about this and if its true will it apply to the Camaro?

It's an incentive. As all incentive sales, it will end. It might be around for a while, but I wouldn't expect to claim that on your Camaro.
On a side note, I believe dealership and GM policies—correct me CamaroScotty—are to offer an incentive to the buyer on deliver, not at the time of the order. In effect, if you order a car during a Free Car Sale—who knows why that would be smart—and pick up in 3 months, then you'll get some other incentive that is being offered in 3 months.

i could see something for owners of other sports cars or mucle cars, challenger/chager owners, mustang owners, 350z owners, g37 owners, bmw 3 series owners. list goes on but any car owner that has a car that gm is trying to compete against should get a break on price to help lure them in.

Well I currently have a Mustang. I guess I will need to wait to ask about this until I am actually paying for the car?

I think mustang owners should get the discount because we drive the very car that the camaro is trying to compete against.

I've seen that discount before... so you never know. The incentives change every month or so. If you buy it in the right month they'll have it.
