Hey I was wondering if any of you guys and gals thought of this and if someone possibly had a part number and how much it cost?

Lol it would probably just be a lot easier and cost efficient to sell your camaro and just buy the zl1

would cost a fortune and wouldn't be worth it, i still think proper coil over set up the right way will be better. We removed the Mag ride on our CTSV and installed KWv3 and have No Regrets

The Magnetic Ride control system is an outstanding factory suspension system but a good aftermarket set up will be less expensive than a retrofit and perform better.

The Mag ride on these cars is not going to be nearly as simple as swapping over a body control module and running a couple wires. I would expect retrofitting the Mag ride system onto the Camaro would be an EXTREMELY daunting task.
As alluded to earlier by 55Designs there are many users of our Corvette Coilover packages that have disabled the Magnetic Ride and never looked back. If you've already poured your heart and soul into your current SS it would be more cost effective, MUCH easier, and probably yield higher performing results by going to Camaro Coilovers. |

Retro fitting a MRC system is not going to be possible at any reasonable cost. When you read about the MRC on the ZL1 it is clear that it is integrated into multiple on board systems. To upgrade a 5th Gen that came from the factory would require the black boxes be replaced along with the wiring and sensor for the new MRC. Enthusiasts like you have been asking the same question in Australia for years in reference to the Holden HSV. There are a few that have made it work so it is possible. Is it worth the time and money? My answer would be only if the objective is to prove you can do it.
