Yes, I've had spine surgery / fusion of the neck area.

The factory steering seems to flare up my pain.

Not going to 'void' your warranty... but I'm not sure its going to help you much with your problem either.

How about checking with the Dealer or someone in the wheel alignment business to see if changing the pulley size or there may be a valve that regulates the pressure which could be adjusted.
