Use the Adams Super VRT after wading the good with just plain water and soap. Dry it out ... Make sure engine in cold and the car or at least wrap is under the shade and do the Adams super VRT

if you can, spot test the VRT before you hit the whole hood with it...myself and others haven't been totally happy with the shine it leaves. I personally haven't used it again since. Just a nice foaming cleanser with a two bucket wash, then wiping it with a chamois works great for me.
another member here used Turtle Wax Ice, IIRC, and seems like she had better results. Haven't tried it myself.

That's me! Just by chance, I cleaned and reapplied Turtle Wax Ice vinyl protectant/cleaner this afternoon, and it looks great. I rub it on with a MF towel fairly thick, then let it dry for just a bit, and finish by wiping the excess off with a dry MF towel. It leaves no shine, just a nice matte finish which repels water pretty well.

Just my $.02!

Tara

Just curious. Did you wipe with a Microfiber towel after applying with the VRT with the sponge applicator? That will help to even out any high spots and VRT should dry flat and not shinny.

I noticed on my hood stripe the VRT looked uneven with just the sponge application but looks great after the MF buff.

Car soap & water. I know how novel that may seem, but try it.
