You bet he has to buckle it in! We don't want that thing damaged, me especially!

600 - you mentioned that there may be professional pictures of the event. Is there a link to that available?

Liberty, How about keeping that crap over on LS1 forum?

None of us are driving a 2010 camaro trying to win a national championship...

Instead, maybe this is something that GM should address!

We all want our favorite car to improve, not have it's faults just swept under the carpet...
Personally, at 4000 lbs, unless you can cut the weight in half, and according to SCCA rules, you can't turn the car into swiss cheese to remove the weight, it's never going to compete on any kind of level. A 4000 lb. car will lose against a 2200 lb car all the time.

It was everyone's first time at an autocross that ran on the 26th with the exception of me.

The stuff I am calling crap is your post about "national champion XXX said whatever" in a thread about a topic none of us care about, as NONE OF US EVER PLAN ON RUNNING ON A NATIONAL LEVEL, or, for that matter, a regional level. I could care less who you are posting about or what he said, or whatever he drives or whatever he says about autocrossing....

If you think GM should address something, GO START YOUR OWN THREAD!

This thread was about US in the New england region autocrossing, and having fun. Go post that stuff in the midwest area or in your own thread.

I really don't care about anything someone else said about how good or bad the Camaro is at autocrossing especially if he probably doesn't even own one. Sounds like he owns a Mustang.

This ends here! I don't want this thread to close because someone comes in to start a flame war with us. We had a great time like 600 said and we got to push our cars and drive 'em like hell (more or less :emoticon7. There are reasons for the different classes...that's why the Camaros are not in the same class as the Miatas or the Civics...It's called optimization! GM can't make a car that looks like a Camaro that handles like a Civic...wheel base, big heavy engine...this is why we bought the car! It's like someone buying an SUV and then bitching because it handles like a truck...OF COURSE IT DOES! IT IS!!! This is a muscle / pony car, not a light weight compact...get over it!

Now, who wants to tell us more about the fun? How about you folks who just came for the car show? Did you think it was fair? Did you like your dash plaques (and the window judging cards made by yours truly)? Again, I wish I could have taken pics of everyone, but we do have some cool pics taken by all our members. If you have pics yourself, go ahead and post them!
