axle and cat backs can only sound so loud.. you will need headers to really get the sound you want

Have you heard the exhaust from outside the car? The axleback don't really make the car louder, but changes the sound a bit. A 3" catback will increase the volume a bit, but won't do much.

If you're looking for a louder tone, try replace the cats with midpipes.

The ATAK is pretty aggressive but give it some time and it will get louder. Like the other guys said, adding high flow cats and LTs will really wake it up.

Also most exhuasts get louder with time, so consider that

As stated all you got was an axel back system. Adds very little sound.

Want a litte more, do a cat back and eliminate the resonators.

Still not enough, try hi flow cats or catless midpipes.

STILL NOT LOUD ENOUGH? Get some long tubes.

AND STILL NOT ENOUGH??? get some cutouts welded in just after the long tubes....

I can say this if you remove the cats the car will be MUCH louder, i couldnt beleave how the stock cats silenced this car down so much.

Why don't you get someone you trust to drive your car by you...trust me..You will notice. I only have the S type..I don't hear much from cabin but I left my significant other drive by me in the neighborhood...only at 25 mph I noticed the real sound...

Headers will give you what you want. Just start saving the cash...

you need to get rid of the stock resonators and put an aftermarket x-pipe in and then you will hear it. i have a 304 ss borla mid pipe and x-pipe assembly that i will sell $400 like new. i have no use for it since i got my arh header system.

Axel back will only really change the tone of the car and get rid of the "bucket" stock muffler system. Sure it will be a little louder but if you want loud, you need to AT LEAST do a Catback system. But as others have said, there is a progression for how loud you want to go.

Yep I ran straight pipes with just the manifolds and the cats....wasnt real loud...put long tubes and high flow cats with the pips....WOW way to loud...now flowmaster AT with them and perfect tone and volume

Ditch the factory system and get catback or LT
