sry Tran, didn't read all the posts before complaining, IMO still a waste since most of those rentals will be abused.

I rented one from Avis two weeks ago from the Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood airport. The service agent even helped me out with the price and everything was good. I had a Yellow SS/RS with 2200 miles on her. It was a great experience for my wife and I. She likes it soo much that she is pushing for me to order one. I hope that GM fills all the orders quickly so that everyone can have to same experience I had.............

Dont do it. I got a corvette for $100 (all prices are negotiable) +$30 insurance at the Hertz here in Jacksonville. I think you would have more fun in that then a Camaro. I still love the Camaro, but a vette is a better toy!

2 day rental over last weekend $306 (includes tax)

I think I might grab a rental next weekend, only thing I can find "near" me is an auto 1LT (looking to buy 6M SS2) but the overall feel of the car should be similar I'd expect. Next weekend should be fun .

I just rented the SS Camaro with IOM over the weekend for my 27th birthday and I was told majority of the AVIS camaros were getting taken over the budget lot to rent instead.

As a side note, I was told that budget was giving out one day free coupons to rent any car on their lot..but I cant say 100% that the camaros are on the list of qualified vehicles but it doesnt hurt to try to ask.

I gotta say that it was hard trying to return the camaro I rented back to the rental place @ LAX in the morning. I thought it was funny how the guys at the rental were surprised the model I was driving was even available because they rarely had seen any IOM SS models with sunroof at their lot.

Yeah I rented a 2SS on August 20 from there when I went to Blizzcon. I had gone on a business trip to El Segundo in June and they had rentals as early as then.

See that's the problem..especially at the LAX office.. The rates are constantly going up daily due to the high usage of the vehicles as I was told by the rep at the rental.

I had placed a reserve a week in advance for a 3 day rental from Friday-Sun 6am to 6am and with my airline corp discount and multiple $25 vouchers the woman gave me, I paid a total of $500. But the daily rate as of now is $167.19 but that can change with a matter of 24 hrs..

I'll elaborate on this thread appropriately then. I found this funny by zooming in on the stats they were showing for the rental cars. I thought I was seeing things, but MPG on the SS shows 19-28.
That's 1 mpg more in the city for the SS over the V6 and 1 mpg less on the highway for the SS compared to the V6.
That's very funny advertisment!!!
I need to find a way to buy a Budget SS cause dude, I could save a good 3 mpg in the city and 7 on the highway compared to the one I have ordered!
LOL I noticed that as well
