These tires are horrible when cold. Can spin them even in third gear with tc on. Without tc I can see them spinning a little in 4th IF they're still cold.

If the clutch was slipping, you'd smell it.. this is definitely a strange problem...

With a road surface of over 65 degrees and the nanny's turned off you shift between 5 and 6 thousand rpm and see what that feel like .

no, pressing it twice (stabiltrac competition mode) limits nannies. 8 second hold takes them away.

go to an empty parking lot or closed road, take a turn and try to slide the back (essentially drift). In Comp mode, the back will snap back in place because of TC kicking in. Hold it 8 seconds it will allow you to do as many 360s as you want.

Sounds like the slave cylinder needs to be purged of air.

The clutch will smell a little when new. Put the car in 3rd and let out the clutch and if it dies the clutch is fine. If your tires are cold and it's cold outside it will spin and feel like clutch slip. It should be normal.

Your clutch is slipping. Not sure why, but it is. Take it to the dealer immediately.

  • Driving Nannies: If I'm that far out of shape on the street, something has gone terribly wrong and by all means Mr. Computer man, come and get me.
  • G2s: Rock throwing is like like a tramp stamp; although problematic, it's a sign of good things to come.

Are you smelling tire or clutch when this happens? Since your car is new, it could have a weird smell from all the assembly glues etc, but the smell is usually pretty noticeable if the clutch is slipping hard. Either way, we would agree taking it to the dealer would probably be the best option for you right now.

slave cylinder bad
clutch slipping
314 miles
I am done with this car at this point.
Went through hell to get them to fix everything because a clutch is the one thing not covered under warranty by GM
It says so in owners manual also
long story short they are fixing it and I am moving on to 2016 Silverado 1500 LTZ
Not worth the problems this soon for money paid
thanks everyone

These are pretty realiable cars, I would be very weary of those direct injection 5.3 engines is the trucks now days. I would drive the car more, shit I put 300 miles on mine the day I bought it. Eh to each their own good luck bud

At 314 miles if your dealer isn't taking care of you, you need to call the Customer Satisfaction 800 # in your owner's manual. And take it from someone that's bought his car from a crappy dealer. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you get a different car. Their Service department isn't going to get better with a different vehicle.

At the very least go to the next Chevy dealer in town. Check out Dealer Rater .com and they actually segregate the Service Department reviews from the Sales department reviews.

Hell, go somewhere else even if you keep this car. Life is too short to deal with crappy dealers. If you continue to hire them to work on your cars then shame on you.
