I'm not feeling good either. I think I got what my wife has. I'll still be going. But, I sure hope the weather clears up in the am. This won't be any fun at all getting soaked and driving 140 miles in rain. Hitting the sack...ugh...

See y'all in the AM. Just for a recap, we're expecting Doug, Justin, Chris and Lupe.

If anyone else from SA is going, I hope they see this

And don't forget to bring your signed Volunteer forms.
Say what? You want to meet for breakfast but dont? Look mister...I'm getting up extra early JUST for your breakfast idea! If you aren't going to be there...

Grrrr....

Well, that's a bummer. The coordinator called it off due to weather. We still got to go park our cars at the hotel the kids are staying at, so they at least got to check out the rides. I know we could have done the cruise anyway, but the rain was just POURING down when we started getting closer to San Marcos, and I'm pretty sure the storm was moving north into Austin anyway, so we would have been right under it the whole way.

Supposedly they're going to see about doing the cruise Saturday, but they don't think they'll have the police escort so they're not sure about safety and whatnot. So, we'll see.

That stunk. I was ready to turn around when hitting New Braunfels. It was that bad. But, oh well...we got to at least get to the hotel for the kiddos. That was cool.

The rain was so bad, there was one overturned double trailered 18 wheeler on the access road (looks to have fallen off the highway), and another one that ran off the road on NB 35. Sheesh...it was bad.

Even though the trip to Austin was cancelled due to weather it was great to be able to spend some time with the kids anyway. They got to sit in the cars and get there pictures taken with the cars that stayed around and braved the rain (kudos to all of you that stayed!)

Seeing the smiles on those kids faces was worth every drop of rain we had to endure. To Michael Marr and all those who helped to put on this event, thank you. Sometimes we get lost in our day to day lives and forget just how good we really have it.

Couldn't have said it better than that.

Yeah, I saw the two messed up big rigs, that was nuts. And the water was almost coming up over the access road where that watersports park is at.

Craziness.

Oh, it WAS over the road at one spot so bad that only trucks were going through. It had to have been a foot if not more deep.
