At the strip, Tesla wins, they run like high 12s. Road course, they would dust the V6 but if the track was long enough I think the V6 would catch up. From like a 70 roll I'd put money on the V6. Its electric and they have god awful top end, practically non existent. So a high speed, long road course, the 6 will win. A small road course though, and I think the Tesla would dust it.

Tesla will beat the monstrous, gasoline-powered 413-kW (554-hp) BMW M5 from 0 to 100 mph? Credit here goes partly to the 600 newton meters (443 foot-pounds) of torque available instantly from the Tesla’s synchronous AC motor. Flick the Tesla’s throttle like a light switch and maximum torque is on tap from 0 to 5100 revolutions per minute. The rear-mounted, liquid-cooled motor can hum to 16 000 rpm, linked to rear wheels by a single-speed gearbox.

You proberly will only see a few with the price tag they have

Haha, I live on the same street as the Tesla factory in Fremont, and I never see employees driving the Tesla. I do see 3 Camaro's during the week an lots of Chevy's and Toyota's in the parking lots while driving by.

It used to be NUMMI, and before that it was the Chevy factory. Lots of oldschool loyals working there now.

I saw on one of those car shows, forget which, but it makes sense, talking and comparing 'next gen' cars. It seems the problem with most future full electric sporty cars would be the top end or limit, but acceleration could be insane. Just like a remote control car.. it can max out top speed fast no matter how hard you push the little joystick forward lol. It'l be interesting when these type of cars start really showing up for racing and at tracks.

That would be crazy seeing a luxury electric car racing muscle and exotic cars on a track. Sounds pretty cool to me

At those prices, I'm sure the heads of the company don't care. If this happened at GM, it would be a different story.

Nooo their top of the line one will crack us, it runs high 12s. We MIGHT take it around a high speed track because they have no top end.
